What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic can mean different things to different people, so I want to take the time and explain to you what Neurologically-Based Chiropractic care is, what it isn’t and what our purpose is at Pure Chiropractic.
Neurologically-Based Chiropractic is…
A form of natural healthcare that emphasizes the inherent power of the nervous system to adapt and heal the body as long as there is no interference
A way to address the relationship between the spine and the nervous system, assessing how spinal misalignments (called subluxations) can effect function and the preservation and restoration of health
An integrative approach to health that can align with any other form of healthcare currently being pursued in a cooperative manner
A way of life that also promotes healthy lifestyle choices made by families that include proper nutrition, exercise and mental health in addition to chiropractic care
Neurologically-Based Chiropractic is NOT…
A quick fix for symptom relief; it has taken time for your spine and health to become what it is today and will take time and repetition to restore proper spinal health and have a positive impact on your nervous system and overall health
A form of medicine that will address symptoms; although it is likely that chiropractic care will help you FEEL better, we are not as concerned about just how you feel, but more importantly how you FUNCTION
A diagnosis of disease; it is important to know what is going on with your health, but rather than focusing on symptoms and diagnoses, we are concerned with how your spine is functioning and how that has an impact on your nervous system, therefore affecting your overall health
The Pure Chiropractic Difference
When you come into Pure Chiropractic, you become part of the family. Your initial exam with the Doctor is a time for you to ask questions and get answers to what is truly going on with your health. Health is comprised of so much more than just your symptoms and it is important that we address the big picture rather than just chasing symptoms.
Part of Neurologically-Based Chiropractic care means that we emphasize the importance of the nervous system in relation to your health. But how do we do this? During your initial and follow-up assessments, we use state-of-the-art technology created by INSiGHT™ that allows us to see areas of your nervous system that are under stress and measure the adaptability of your body. These two components are objectively measured by spinal thermography and heart rate variability. This allows us to locate the root cause of your health concerns and keep you feeling and functioning well.
If you have been struggling with your health and trying to make positive changes, Neurologically-Based Chiropractic care may be the missing link to help you on your healing journey. I hope that you have enjoyed reading about what makes us different and I wish you a happy and prosperous life of health and healing!
Yours in Health,
-Dr. Alisha
